Ganut

The Ivory Death

Example

An ancient god of Rain and Mountains who rules the world "Devor" as a cruel and dominating ruler. He is said to reside on the mountain "Allaph" surrounded by gigantic overgrown jungles.

Origins

Little is known of Ganuts origins, he has been a god for at least 1400 years but likely more. Rumors say that he was a member of an elephant race who betrayed his own kind. The most ancient texts mentioning him reads

"And he became a god of this world. Sending down a thousand day rain to drown any locust alive. And as races rose and fell they would all worship him, and they would all feed his newfound appetite for flesh."

Ganut was a constant threat during the war of the gods, killing and eating Sasha and The Rot infested Bastard which has granted him the name of "Godkiller".

Worship

Ganut is worshipped in secret in all corners of the world. Most notable was his temple in the spring ruins of Mortevia. The rituals of the faith tend to involve canibalism and human sacrafice through blunt trauma. The sacrafice is bound at an altar and then beaten with wooden clubs in all areas but the head until they die of internal bleeding. Causing a cut or external wound before death is seen as an impure sacrafice. Priests of Ganut tend to wear blue Kilts or long dresses with a bare upper body, they have golden jewelry and piercings and often decorate their torsos with tatoos and wear facepaint. The cults gather for rituals in deep caves or mountains during heavy rain.

Servitor Races

Ganuts high servitors are gigantic creatures resembling warped humanoids. One most notable is Cron who was said to have been sealed in a timeless realm until he went mad. Ganut also has countless servitors in the shape of small lizard-like beings.
