Memoria

the land that remembers

Example

A place of hot summers and flourishing fields with rolling hills and dark haunted forests. The question is if the spirits are well intentioned or not.

Memor is most known as the only kingdom to have horses, which they sell to other kingdoms at a very high price to maintain a monopoly of them.

Memorians

A people of red hair and short stature with eyes vary from green to brown. They aren't known to be particularly attractive but very charming. Memorians are very collectivist, if you are stabbed people will line up to aid you. If you are the stabber they will hunt you to the end of the world, or at least the end of Memor. There is a famous folktale of a criminal who burned his own face to avoid capture.

Religion

The people of Memor worship multiple gods, but a symbol found in every home is that of the Roaming Stallion also known as Pan, who comes to aid any who is lost. Have you betrayed Memorians however he instead rides you into the ocean to drown you. During the height of summer Memorians are said to have vile fertility rituals. Where they supposedly take strange concoctions, summon and sleep with demons, engage in human sacrafice, cannibalism any sin is forgiven in this ultimate expression of freedom.

The rise of Memor

This region was once ruled by Taritia, but when a famine struck the people of Memor revolted. Their king is said to have wandered into the nearby forests where he remained for 7 days. When he returned he carried a sword of green metal. "With this sword" He declared "I hereby found the Kingdom of Memoria, if the Tarotians object they can come and slay me". The tarotians came, but never arrived. Rumors began to spread of the haunted forests of the region that had swallowed their forces whole. When they sent more forces, through the swamps this time the Memorians laid in ambush and defeated them easily. As for the famine the Memorians pillaged the Tarotian southern coast, which became known as "the perilous lands" these days Perryl and East Perryl.
